After mangling Georges' name during the pregame, I kinda enjoyed the ribbing the studio crew got at halftime about it. One of them said "yeah, we got it now...Georges is singular".

Why yes...yes, he is!

It's funny that they got it "now" ....because the pronunciation of that name has always been without the "S" ....you know, like, since the beginning of time.

Regardless of the sport, you can always count on Brent to give you the point spread. That guy loves to wager.

I was laughing when he kept bringing up who was favored last night, he even quoted the actual spread. I mean who else does that in college football, much less basketball?

First game all year I didn't mute the TV audio. Couldn't take their KU call in Ames with the Kansas slobberfest. Other than some problems with heights and what year guys were in, they were great last night and I usually hate Musberger. Fran could do all of our games and I would be happy.

He and Jay Bilas are my favorite announcers. Both seem to research the teams really well and can comment intelligently on the game as it progresses because they actually know something about them.
Did anyone else used to dislike Bilas? He never seemed to give us our due several years ago, but I think he's in love with Dreamy.

Fraschilla is definitely a Fran I can get on board with.

Seriously though, dude is a great commentator. Very fair and knowledgeable. Along with many of the prior posts, I loved how he called out Marcus Smart's flopping. It is pretty great to see how the whole country seems to be on to that now.

Would have loved to replace Musberger on PxP and had Gus Johnson. I might have had a heart attack though.

The only problem I had last night, was how he kept emphasizing how we used to be a top 10 team, but we've really fallen apart once we entered conference play. It's true, we aren't winning like we did pre-season, but ****, look at our conference schedule so far. The only team we've played so far that doesn't have a shot at the NCAA is TTU.

I thought he was great at calling out the refs, especially towards the end of regulation, and all the phantom calls OSU was getting. Even if we lost that game though, we won't finish the season where we are right now in the Big 12.

I love to listen to Fran on color, but why is a guy who obviously knows so much about the sport not coaching instead?

I loved his call of the replay showing Smart flop against Kane on the baseline. "Now that's a flop, and that's a foul. Sorry Marcus, that's a 25 year old man you're playing against"

I liked how he actually got a little fired up while he said it. He had some emotion behind it, which was pretty sweet.

I said the same but Royce white. He started the year at 6'6. Then he went to 6'7, 6'8, and I actually heard a 6'9 a couple of times by ncaa tourney time. When I met him in person there's no way he was a shade over 6'6. Possibly even 6'5. I'm 6'2 and he wasn't that much taller than me. His hands were ginormous. That wasn't an exaggeration.

The "No way he's that tall bc I'm this tall" posts are some of my favorites. Hadn't seen any for awhile. Bravo to you.

I appreciated his explanation about why Ford went ballistic on Forte when he missed the pick. Of course, I also am not sure he needed to take a timeout to jaw at him.

I can't remember if it was Fran or Musberger, but one of them asked if you would rather have Nerlens Noel for 1 year or Georges for 4.
I would love for Fred to start bringing in McD AAs and 1-and-done type players, but how great is it going to be to have Georges for 2 more years?

I loved that too. Is there any chance Georges won't be here 2 more years?

IMHO, Musberger is much better at calling a basketball game than football. I think it is because there is less time between plays for him to over hype the game situations.

Thank god we didn't have any shots of hoiberg's wife in the stands we might have missed some pbp.

He's probably making mid-major coaching money without any of the coaching hassles. He doesn't have to recruit or worry about win/loss records. He doesn't have to fundraise for his athletic department. Why wouldn't you take the color job?

No chance with all the help we get from announcers that say.... "Doesn't have much athletic skill", "Can't jump", "Has an old man game", "Too slow".
I just hope the NBA scouts believe all this crap vs. watching his game and realize that Georges IS A PLAYER.

Anyone else catch how Musberger just shortened Ejim's name to Edge? I kinda liked that - it's almost like Musberger spoke about him as his buddy.
