Have we burnt down Hilton Coliseum yet?
Let's set up a protest tomorrow at the practice facility
Have we burnt down Hilton Coliseum yet?
Maryland would be a good matchup to Kentucky.
It's not a good loss. Maryland is projected to finish in the middle of the Big 10 and they are much younger than us. Can we learn something from this loss absolutely, but we basically have two more chances in our non-conference to notch a quality win.
Everything looks good when shots go in, Alabama, and everything looks bad when shots don't go in, Maryland. As previously posted, my concern is defensive positioning and rotations, this needs cleaned up.

Whoa whoa whoa, nice shooting tex! We beat Maryland 8 out of 10 times, it's a meaningless glorified scrimmage before thanksgiving. That game has basically no meaning right now.
Sizewise, it would be a good matchup.Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. We should beat the pants of them, had we ran our offense correctly.
I didn't get to watch the game. But from this quote, I assume that Bryce and probably others were playing Tinsley-ball. I know many of you don't remember from his days as a Clone that when the game got tough, Tinsley would forget his role and start playing every position, never passing off and shooting everything.
The moral of the story is that when you play Hoiball, you win. When you play Tinsley-ball, you don't.
That said, Fred needs to sit their butts down if they don't play with and for each other. And I don't care who it is. There's enough depth on the bench. No one is indispensable.
sorry, didnt mean to come across as condescending. i just meant that it wasnt some random sub-par shooting performance that drove the loss.(because that will also likely happen at some point)
Good loss. I couldn't be less concerned.
agreed. it also seems like we've had a lot more errant passes this year. catching the ball at your feet or having to jump for it can make a huge difference. Not only does it allow the defender time to get there, it throws off the shooters rhythm. Not hitting 3s was key last night. It allowed them to pack it in under the basket. As someone else said, some days the shots just won't fall, but more commonly, people are just casting up a 3 rather than running the offense. There is a world of difference between catching the ball and shooting in rhythm vs just standing there and throwing up a 3 with a defender on you. We had a 3 on 2 break with a guy wide open in the corner and we didn't get him the ball. If our guys learn from it, it's a good loss and reality check.
Pretty fair assessment, we had some good looks but our players shooting a three with a guy in his face with 15 secs left in the shot clock was frustrating.i dont want to hear about the shooting percentage. the percentage was low because they took horrible shots, and they took horrible shots because they were selfish. it wasnt some statistical fluke.
