This definitely hurts for the Clones. But, I don't think that Godfrey getting in trouble puts Hoiberg's plan on the ropes. The only way it'd be anywhere close to that would be if it had been somebody like White/Lucious/Allen. Since it's not, move along, nothing to see here (in terms of Hoiberg's plan being in jeopardy). This is the risk you take with transfers in high numbers. And it was a necessary risk.

Since thread is already hijacked, I thought I would point out that you aren't very knowledgeable about marijuana and its effects on brain development especially in decision making areas of the brain in people who are ages 15-25.

It's too bad this kid made a mistake, but I think we're still going in the right direction.

Can you direct me to these studies? I've never heard anything of this sort. Don't give me any D.E.A. ******** either.

why because you are a liberal, or you think the government needs to find new tax revenue sources?

I know conservatives who smoke pot on a regular basis. What does political affiliation have to do with this? They would legalize it if they could because its no worse than booze, and if you had ANY understand of marijuana or why it's actually illegal (racism towards Mexican immigrants in the 30's), you could see this.

Yes. Marijuana is illegal. That doesn't mean its use is immoral. Slavery used to be legal too.

This may be the dumbest dumb thing I have ever read....

1st Pot does NOT cure anything

2nd It may act as an appetite enhancer, a pain reliever, but it is taken into the body BY SMOKING. Check your government FDA regulations about smoking. Causes more harm than good. EVEN IF IT IS POT.

I can just see litigation in the future.... Hey things are good, I can eat now, even though I have cemo. I have very little pain from my glaucoma. But I really need to sue someone due to the lung cancer I have.

morons

Doesn't cause lung cancer and does not potentiate emphysema. Donald Tashkins of U.C.L.A. one of the leading lung experts in America actually encourages it as a cure for emphysema. FWIW

Oh and there are vaporizers, edibles, and teas you can make with it too.

Lol, i love you calling everyone who disagrees with you 'potheads'.

Some of us are just libertarians, who believe the government should stay out of people's lives. (I'm one of them. I dont use marijuana but i do drink) That includes what substances they choose to use that affect only themselves.

If youre going to go hardcore conservative, you probably disagree with the massive increase in govt scope the last 80 years. In which case i'll ask you: why did it take a constitutional amendment to ban alcohol, but not drugs? You should come to the conclusion that it is an overreach of federal powers.

Now this is a good point. I could care less if anyone wants to be a pothead. doesn't matter to me. However, I do expect that the State institution that I support, will not support the educational opportunities for people who break the law.

What is funny is that most people, (most) who believe the government is wrong for saying some drugs should be illegal, are the same who believe the government has the right to confiscate the property of one to make sure all have equal access to health care.

No, he's probably just hardcore Republican, which is in some ways the opposite of hardcore conservative. Conservatives think the government should be small and stay out of people's lives.

Republicans want the government to being incredibly involved in people's personal lives to make sure that no one does anything that breaks from their narrow interpretation of Christianity.

Republicans and Conservatives have split recently.

Because you had no sources or even named who was involved. It was just 'something bad is coming'.

Damn, I'm thinking I should be glad I decided to post after reading through page 3, instead of reading the whole thing. I'm WAY late to the party though :jimlad:

So inhaling the smoke from one leaf gives you cancer, emphysema and a whole host of other diseases, but smoking another cures you? :skeptical:

LZclone-My mom was so nauseous from chemo treatment she couldn't eat and marijuana was the only thing that helped (my step brother got it for her). It made the chemo treatment bearable and no doubt added months to her life, as well as quality. Outlawing medical marijuana is downright cruel.

Between this news and PSN still being down life doesn't seem worth living.

Godfrey was likely never going to be a big time player but he was the perfect role player to have on your team and you definitely need guys like that to be successful.

He'll turn up at another program soon enough. I really enjoyed watching him play. Too bad.

I strongly disagree. I thought Godfrey really made some big strides toward the end of the season. He was just a freshman. With more time to develop his game and work with Fred, I saw him becoming much more than a "role player".

Only if it helps your argument.

What is funny about this thread is that some people, apparently, believe that you should be able to break laws which may be right or wrong, and still accept a handout.

You don't have to smoke marijuana to get the effects.

Explain to me what the problem with eating cannabis problems is, besides it being illegal?

Also, keep in mind that while marijuana smoke isn't good for you, people who use marijuana use a far lower volume than tobacco users use tobacco. If you smoked a couple of cigarettes every week, the odds of getting lung cancer are probably far lower than if you were smoking a couple of packs a day.

Yea, and its actually the flower you smoke from weed. It's like saying that everything you drink is unhealthy cause drinking alcohol is unhealthy. If you want sources p.m. me.

Should he suspended for speeding? Broke a law. Probably endangered more lives too.

No one is actually saying what you're asserting. You just say illegal = wrong with out putting any independent thought into it. That's easy to do.

I'm assuming that if you had lived in the 1850's you would have supported slavery, right?

You would have supported segregation in the South, right?

You would have supported legal alcohol, then supported prohibition, then supported alcohol again in the early part of this century, right?

You would have been opposed to interracial marriage in the 1950's, right?

Guys, obviously marijuana is part of this discussion, but please keep the thread on topic. This thread is not about the legalities of marijuana use.
