Ask him if the attraction of half-empty arenas and apathetic fans is what lured him away from Hilton where students would camp out for two days, in freezing temps, just to get a seat..........

It's pr. He's going on to better things (at least in his mind--I think he'll miss the almost universal love he had here--while Iowa state basketball fans are not going on to better things. I had to laugh at naz's nice tribute to hoiberg. It said that people will look back at the hoiberg era as the best at Iowa state. Well that's nice for naz and Fred, but not so nice for fans that feel like we've already seen our best days.

I don't hate him, but I don't wish him success since I don't like the team that he is coaching for. I don't like he left us high and dry in regards to replacing him.

And to reference a popular point on here, I sure am glad the hoiberg era happened but I'm still ****** it is over.

He will, that's why he was such a great coach.

As appealing as a Top 10 team to coach is to coach next year the guy we hire will definitely be in Fred's shadow for a long time. We're replacing our Phil Jackson.

Sooooooo....Tim Floyd will be the next coach then!?!?

Put a tack on his seat. Or a whoopy cushion. But not both. If you put both on the seat he'll just sit on a flat whoopy cushion with a tack halfway through it. Maybe that would work. It might make the whoopy cushion stick to his pants. That would be a hoot to see when he shows up at some speakeasy on the West Side tonight to pay tribute money to a crime boss. In Chicago crime boss is synonymous with politician or union leader. Voter is synonymous with dead person.
