I go through a 6-pack about every two weeks. Sometimes it takes longer. Rarely get a drink while out for a meal and even more rarely go out to drink. Usually only holidays or special occasions when I have more than 2 in a single sitting. Even watching football at home do I rarely get to 3.

You didn’t specify recreational in your first comment but I’ll follow up anyways.

For a lot of people what you say is true but for those with medical issues many “recreational” drugs can have great benefits especially when handled by a physician. LSD has been shown to help greatly with PTSD, ketamine can help with depression/anxiety, and marijuana has been shown to help with a wide variety of mental issues. As the stigma behind those drugs lessens and we get more studies out we will start to see even more uses.
Lots of good shrooms too. Micro dose generally. Tried a regular trip your ass dose not long ago and it did not agree with me :D
All superior to pharma if you can make em work.

I agree in the positive effects you mention when those drugs are prescribed/used to treat those conditions. However, in a healthy person with none of those conditions I'm betting that using those drugs does not make you healthier.
100% correct that in a totally healthy person taking those drugs wouldn’t improve their health. It’s used as a potential treatment. THC can help with stress, anxiety, and falling asleep which can obv improve your health. But that’s the only one I would recommend to the majority of people.

It's been well over a decade but I've dropped acid and done ketamine. I have a hard time believing that's a safe alternative but maybe if the dose was significantly lessened or something. LSD is a crazy ******* trip.
When the LSD is being given it is in a very controlled environment with a professional guiding you through a designed process. It’s a touch more in depth then just going on a trip by yourself or with some friends but initial research is promising.

Wasn't there a thread with a poll on CF about ages of all the posters? I think 30-40 was the average age of most on here?
Considering most of us are men and thus always lying to get laid, I wonder if that makes the average poster between 50 - 60. so maybe even 70. And I've always considered you one of the older one. Christ, GTO.... are you almost 100???

45 but sometimes when I make it back to campus and see all the young people they look at me as if I attended ISU with George Washington Carver.

If someone can figure out how to make a weed strain that mimics the good parts of alcohol without the bad, they’d crush it.

The problem with alcohol in relation to THC is that it’s way more fun.

It’s not more fun it’s just more socially acceptable and has been used publicly for a long time. We’re already seeing a major transition of people away from alcohol consumption and an increase in THC consumption habits especially for the younger generations.

Eh, I'd argue anything being "more fun" is pretty subjective. As someone who has and does consume both, I would agree with Al that alcohol is more fun most of the time.

I’ve used THC plenty. I enjoy alcohol far more. I realize THC is much healthier, but I personally don’t enjoy it’s effects more.

THC is relaxing to me, and that’s it. I do nothing. I over eat drastically. I’m quiet and uninterested in socializing. I’m not hungover the next day, but I don’t feel like anything interesting or worthwhile happened.

Alcohol, in the proper dose, makes me relaxed but very eager to socially engage. I’m far more likely to have an enjoyable conversation, and just enjoy socializing. I understand it’s more damaging and excessive doses lead to unpleasantness.

Younger generations are drawn more to THC because they’re generally drawn to less social interactions. They spend less time interacting in person and socializing in general. THC jives better with that

I never would have imagined this thread would be full of non-drinkers or very very occasional ones. Crazy.

Makes me wonder if getting an all CF AA group going would be a cool idea. God knows the Clones make anyone want to drink!!

Im not surprised.

CF's average age is probably mostly millennial\genx. Some younger and some older of course.

A lot of people in this thread that don't drink much these days probably used to drink a lot more in their college age\20s and either simply find they're drinking less for various reasons (different lifestyle, avoiding the age-related effects, etc) or they may have hit some consequences that forced them to reevaluate their drinking habits.

Have a few drinks before bed every day. Probably more than I should, but I'm pretty healthy overall. Work out every day and track calories and all that including how much I drink. Calories from alcohol sure do add up fast.

I have at least 2 good friends that didn’t have drinking problems that quit drinking (I guess one drinks like twice a year, maybe) just because they didn’t enjoy the buzz any more. I naturally desire it less the older I get.

I think that’s pretty typical - for your general desire to drink to decrease with age.

We've primarily used THC as a sleep aid. Works wonders for the wife. Works for me too, but I try not to take it because I have a hell of a time waking up in the morning.

1-2 times a week here. Usually have about 15-25 drinks per day when drinking. Mostly on a Saturday/Sunday. Sometimes I’ll go weeks at a time without drinking though.. so it all evens out in the end.
Holy crap dude. 15-25? I guess it is true what they say, not all heroes wear capes.....

It took me a long time to find the right gummies that made me feel great while being active without the insane munchies. I remember one brand I legit couldn’t stop eating, I was beyond full but just craved food. Never went back to that one again. They are working on defining strains so propel have a better idea what they are buying but it’s a long way away from being commonly implemented.
