I hate Golden Rules

I'm sure it has to do with KU's colors. Would make more sense for Nebbie though. I always associate blue with KU way more than red.
I'm wearing red tonight. It's "our" color. I'm not going to run away from it, or treat it as second-class, just because KU has red also. Who cares what their colors are?
Makes no sense; kind of deameaning, actually.
It's not like we ever do a great job when we have the Cardinal and Gold rules, we never come close to pulling it off. I think the only way we'd ever have a true "gold out" would be if they gave everyone a free shirt as they came into Hilton and even then I have my doubts if it would make a difference.

Actually, its not. Its even dumber when we do it for nebraska (especially for football), because then it highlights all the nebraska fans that have shown up, and makes many of our fans in red look like husker fans.
Cardinal is our primary color. 90% of the merchandise we sell is cardinal.
Why do we have 'golden rules' games? The cynic in me would say 'to get a whole bunch of people that dont have anything yellow\gold to go out and buy a yellow\gold ISU shirt for the game'
Holy cow, dude. If requesting you to wear a particular color for a game is demeaning, I can't imagine how you function through the more important parts of life.
I don't think the Gold Rules has anything to do with Kansas' second color being red. I think it has everything to do with the game being on ESPN2 and presenting a cool camera shot for them. That and maybe (I'm hoping but doubting) our team will come out with some gold uni's as well.
I dont think its the request thats demeaning, more the fact that another school can come into our own house and determine what colors we wear. Why should we change, theyre the ones who suck.
I hate you. Show some spirit. Support the players. If I was a player and came out to a crowd decked out in all Gold, I would think it was really sweet. Man up and buy a 10$ gold t-shirt. BTW Tornado man, last time I checked our colors are Cardinal AND Gold.

Huh? Why do you think were doing it only because were playing Kansas? It has way more to do with this is our only home game on ESPN and every year it happens when were playing them.
I'm hoping you are being funny, but the fact that Kansas is the other team has nothing to do with the Golden Rules promotion.
Unless, of course, you factor in that the only reason we are on ESPN2 tonight is because we are playing Kansas.
I have to agree. 90% of my Cyclone stuff is red/cardinal. Go with Cardinal Rules every game.

Well put. It's demeaning that our marketing department spends even 5 minutes "caring" about another team's colors. Big whoop. This is our house.
BTW, if this is really a big deal, pass out yellow t-shirts to us at the gate, like OU does for their "white-out" games at Lloyd Noble...
