We could always do what the Cowboys did in 1971 with Craig Morton and Roger Staubach, and instead of signaling the play calls in from the sideline, just have Rocco and JJ alternate snaps and bring the play in themselves from the sideline every time. Guaranteed you won’t mess up the play call in translation that way! Win-win!

Idk about 300 yards, but if Iowa State does not control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, we may well see them lose. The stats bear out how even these games have been statistically over the past couple of decades. I don't know about UNI's other skill positions, but they almost certainly have a leg up on us at the important one, at least at this point in the season. If we just go out and do what we have normally done against UNI the last few matchups, and we don't dominate the LOS, we will lose.

I am not speaking of any player in particular, but I would imagine at this point with game prep, we have players that are on the scout team to simulate the looks UNI will give us. If I had already red-shirted, like a RSFM, I would be working with the punters as much as possible and asking to be looked at again for punt returner. I also agree that one of the really fast running backs should be tried at KO return to create the possibility of a huge return.
