Yep they're loyal and obviously don't trust their backup. You have to try him though. Until the last series their longest play was 11 yards and I think that was on their touchdown run.

Iowa's whole offense is completely inept though. I'm super happy with the win, but that's an average team at best we beat. I'll still take it though.

I feel bad for him, he has to go out there and take a beating on and off the field when really it’s an incredible failure of the Ferentzs. They can’t coach him up, they can’t find a supporting cast for him, and somehow they can’t recruit over him.

On the flip side we replaced an all timer in Purdy with a guy who looks big 12 ready immediately.

People want to hang it all on Petras, and he should own his share of it for sure, but that offense is bad across the board, even their Oline is way below their usual standard.

The atmosphere around the program has to be ****. The defense and special teams are doing more than their share. Wheels could come off easily.

I don't recall ever seeing a QB that couldn't at least complete an easy out route. We've seen times where statistically QB's have been that bad, but often that's because he doesn't have players around him to get open. The Iowa receivers' had space. Petras just couldn't get the ball to them.

Petras is going to have a tough time when he lays his head down on his pillow tonight. Not because they lost and he played badly, but because he will probably miss the pillow entirely.

Mahomes didn't look very good his first co-around with ISU. But Petras just doesn;t have it.

Mahomes and Petras were the two worst QB performances I've seen in the last 15 years. Therefore, I expect Petras to win a Super Bowl in the near future.
