Did not watch the game but just read through this thread....

I remember that we didn't exactly look too hot last year in our first handful of games.

Clyburn is probably the last of our concerns as I'm sure he'll show up soon.

I like what I read about Naz and Niang. It sounds like no one will put their fear of interior D and rebounding to bed based on this game. But I remember thinking much the same last year early on.

people don't realize we almost lost to Miss Valley St. in the regular season. How did ISU fare in conference?

Exhibition games mean jack ****. Means just as much as a spring football game.

FYI, Long distance running means jack **** when it comes to wind sprints in basketball. I ran cross country and felt like a couch potato when basketball started. Completely different kind of "shape"

Give it up dude. It wouldn't matter if I was an obese 400 lb couch potato. I'd still have every right to make the observation that someone that is getting a free ride to college to play basketball is not quite in basketball shape yet.

And... I'm not the only one on here that made that observation. What if Hoiberg makes the same observation... are you going to start calling him names too?

Nothing will get Niang in game shape like actual games. It appears he's going to be getting some big minutes so I would guess that he'll make big strides in the next month.

Don't know about you, but long ago I learned a life lesson. Anyone who uses the phrase "do you know who you're talking to?" or any variation thereof, is either a pompous arse, or a dumb ****.

Didn't you know, clonedude drives a Dodge Stratus.

I agree. Surprised this needs to be said on a forum with the purpose of commenting on college athletics. Otherwise, CW better stop writing and shut-down the site.

Uh clonedude is either a skilled troll or a dopey fan, just saying they are the same.

Do you know who you're talking to? The man runs 30 miles/wk. It wouldn't matter if he was 400 lbs, but it does matter that he runs 30 miles/wk. Show some ******* respect.

And before you start talking trash to me, be warned... I run 31 miles per week. Don't care if it rains. I'll run. It could snow..I'll still run. Because me and clonedude are badasses and we know it.

If there's one thing I've learned from being a Cyclone fan, is that nothing is as good, or as bad as it seems. Problems at this time of year are to be expected. Fred is a great coach, we have talent and this team will gel and clean those things up. It's November ffs, if we're looking bad in February, feel free to freak out.

Also I'm not concerned about silly things like scoring and stats, was Clyburn sweating? Niang better have been sweating since he's so damn out of shape, that couch potato. How good was our effort on the sweat-o-meter today?

You have every right? How do you figure. Are you paying for his tuition? What the **** exactly gives you the right? Ridiculous.

Absolutely mind boggling that someone would feel justified in doing that. I think I know who you are now, a socially inept ******* that is as childish as he is clueless.

Some of the issues we saw early last year never really got cleaned up imo, and at the very least cost us enough games early it resulted in a difficult seed by the time we did get them cleaned up.
