With Purdy in the house, night game, and the conference implications this should combine for the win.
Being a longtime fan, I would be shocked if that happened. We normally tend to under perform in huge games like this. But who knows. Campbell has done a lot of things that nobody else has ever been able to do at ISU, maybe he can pull this off.

hey all, first time poster..

I am an alum of a generally non-competing Land Grant institution and going to my first game in Ames on Saturday... any tailgating or general game day pointers? Pregame concerts, team arrival, that jazz?

We're going to park in the lots southeast of campus (how quickly do those fill up?) and hang out there before the game.

Will be cheering for ISU, I don't need to watch KU win twice in person in one year and have always had a soft spot for ISU fans since moving to Iowa several years ago.
Walk around and see what you find.
Give yourself a good hour to admire the bridge.
Team arrives north of stadium 3:30
No pregame concerts to ensure Eric Church never thinks he can come back.
Go in early or risk missing the first half (jk it’s gotten better but do go in early)

Hey, madguy30, I don't know where your mind went, and how it conjured up this video. But, damn, not only was that creative, it was hilarious.

I think it was suppose to be folks in Vegas using transitive property to come up with their lines.

Aside from Iowa where the players flinched they've had some good fortune in this type of game in November.

I think ISU will play hard and play well; whether that's enough will be interesting.

the pain train
I'm just going to start quoting this kind of stuff to keep the receipts in case you actually read what you wrote and delete them.
Some fellas came to me with the idea for a podcast, Iowa State Call Out Show, each week, analyst, fans, bloggers, podders and randoms will be called out for the BS that they spew all week long, i wouldnt really call it an investment but will be looking to help with money needed to get them going just to have a laugh.

Whatever we do, I hope we start with some amazing play to pump up the crowd.
The Jack should be electric before kickoff. Any kind of a good start at all and our environment will be insane!

This is already something I've noticed people at work mention. Now that UofH is in the BigXII, they are starting to watch some of our games and were not expecting to see the environment we have. They were thinking we had a 30,000 seat stadium, not the soon to be largest in the confernece when the 2 leave.
Protect the Jack! LFG!

Thanks!

I got to admire the bridge during RAGBRAI, but didn't cross it because I was already 99 miles into my day and my campsite was the other direction.

Looking forward to the game, tailgating at KU in September was one of the saddest things I've ever seen in my life, and I've seen some stuff over the years. Those people do not deserve nice things

lol if you are about to compare and contrast tailgating between KU and Ames, then you best hold on to your britches.

I'm hoping we hear Juicy Wiggle blasted over the stadium speakers over and over and over again (which will mean we're winning) and the national TV audience will see what an incredible environment Jack Trice Stadium is.
