Crap, I thought he was the best looking player on defense this year all things considered. Of course I have no idea what is going on but sometimes I like a guy who tells people in authority they have no idea what they are doing.

Kotton-Moya barely played too. I noticed Cotton and Syrie out there the majority of the game.

Not true at all. The only time when Cotton-Moya came out is when he dinged up his leg and that was for just a few plays.

Also, TJ left the TT game early with an injury and that could be why he didn't play

Thanks for clarification I missed that.

Did anyone else catch on the Barely Audible Podcast with Arnaud, Woody and Zach Spears that Woody mentioned that Mutcherson needs to move on and there are a few "players" like him on this years team that could use a new destination as well.

It was quick, but you could tell they didn't want to spend much time elaborating more on the subject, or naming the other players.

If that is the case, might as well pull a UAB and shut the program down (a bit of an overkill). Can't just keep running talent off without having anyone to replace them. Or we need to find a new staff that can bring in kids that can play that are not problems.

This is Big 12 Football. Coaches need to figure out how to keep talented players that at times cause problems in line. Have to successfully deal with egos and trouble makers to win at this level.

A nice little look into the leadership qualities of Woody there if he's willing to come out on a podcast (a bad one at that) and say that. Of course, I've never really been a huge fan of any one of those three off the field so I'm biased.

Agreed. That was really stupid. I think the team would be better if some if the less talented kids moved on. Why do we care so much about whether these kids are idiots or not? I'm not looking to hang out with them, I'd like to watch a better football team. I love...love the way Mutcherson is so violent on the field but guys like that are often wires a little differently and I'm fine with that.

Can you elaborate on why you don't like those three off the field? Personally, I knew all 3 "off the field" and while Spears was a little too quirky for my liking, Arnaud and Woody were always great people to be around.

They received their degrees (w/ some academic recognition), Woody was in grad school during his 5th year of eligibility, their names never popped up on the Story County inmate list or any police blotters, they volunteered their time in the community, and they worked their butts off for ISU football.

It has to do with creating a disciplined football team and keeping cancers out of the looker room. If one guy doesn't show up to meetings on times, argues with coaches, it can negatively effect the whole team.

Looked like Mutcherson was one of our better players last game. There is no next man in.

The problem becomes the backups are not ready for prime time.

I understand that, but at some point if a player really is negatively effecting the team suspensions or kicking a guy off the team are necessary. For a program like Iowa State to ever have success, discipline is very important. Short term not having Mutcherson sucks, long term it might pay off.

Players with actual Big 12 talent? Yeah we better get rid of all of them.

If this defense loses either of Moyà or TJ in off season might as well just cancel the season. Those two were the only bright spot and I mean only on the whole defense.

The school 5 spots behind us in Sagarin just dropped their FB program. Just sayin'
