I agree with you. I would be thrilled with UCF as long as it brings stability. I want to get back to 12 and no more.

I think it would make a lot of sense if they got two Florida teams instead of just one. If were going to dip into Florida might as well go big.
We should want the number of BCS teams to go up way past 64. Pac12 Scott's publicly open push is for a 4x16 mega structure. We could quite easily be out of that. The more non AQ teams that get promoted the higher above 64 that # gets.
2 BCS AQ programs (maybe us and Baylor?) and a ton of non-AQs could have been easily screwed. 10 AQ programs and a ton of non-AQ schools will be harder for a ****** bag like Scott to screw over for some money.
TCU, Utah, BYU and now maybe UCF all push up that number. Including ND there were 66 AQ teams before all this. With TCU and Utah becoming AQ it's now 68, if we add BYU and UCF it's 70. If 4x16 is the formula you have to kick out 6 teams now in addition to excluding Boise State, Hawaii, Houston etc... That won't happen so if there eventually are 4 superleagues they'd be 18-20 and ISU would be safe.

I read a tweet somewhere that listed UCF along with the usual suspects. He could have been just going by flight tracker to though.

I saw your post over on the CougarCorner board. Very nice post, I was thinking of doing the same thing but didn't go ahead and register. They all seem very excited about possibly joining the Big 12.
Would love to see ECU in the mix. Graduated from East Wake, and saw first hand how avid their fans are.
My question is...would UCF or ECU be a MORE likely to stay with the B12 if they high prime-time status, or would they be more likely to defect given the opportunity in the future?
Would UCF stay in the big 12 if they got an ACC invite? Same with ECU? That's a log way away, but it's something to ponder. ISU is a little geographically isolated and it worries me a bit. If we developed one of those teams into a contender, might they be more likely to slip away gven the opportunity, rather than Sri jog with a geographically logical pod like Mizzou, ISU, Kansas, and K-State?
