I don't mind hedging to post, but can it be someone besides the person guarding Hield, or anyone else that makes 3 threes in a row?

Hopefully, yes. Something that I have also noticed- we seem to defend better when we stay down, with our arms up. When we've tried to turn up the defensive intensity, sometimes it seems like we bite on the pump fake and get ourselves out of position that way.

I really hope we see a performance like the one ISU had against Iowa in the second half tonight. If the team plays that way, watch out. Really excited for the game tonight! Win this one, and ISU is definitely in the hunt for the conference crown.

ISU has gotten burned on the scramble to close out and another pass (and another, and another...) as much or more than they have gotten burned by the man of the doubling defender. Just because we don't double from Hield doesn't mean that it won't result in an open look for him. It would require that his defender stays on him and doesn't help off on another open shooter during the ensuing scramble as well.

Normally I would say the double has to come from Woodward's man when possible (a 25% 3pt shooter) but of course he is shooting 42% in conference play. All 3 of their starting guards are over 40% in conference play. It might be a good time to double big on big, double only about one out of every 5 or 6 possessions or forego the double entirely. It's a tough call.

I fear that Hield is going to be unconscious behind the arc, OU comes up with all the boards and loose balls, and our boys have one of their patented cold starts that they can't recover from. I hope I'm wrong.

Unfortunately I see the same. I just don't think this team is tough enough to win the big road games they need to in order to be in the conference title mix to the end. OU is a good team, and appears to be our biggest challenger for second place in the league. I think they are a bad matchup for us and we just can't hang with them on the road.

Got Damage, I am pumped up for this one! I'm stuck downtown for a little while longer and I feel like a caged animal.

I've got a feeling that Hogue is going to have a big game tonight. Like a 15-10 game or something. I also think we get up by 5 with a minute to go and miss some free throws to make it the clone heart attack game as usual.

Also my 100th post! Doesn't mean much but kinda cool I suppose.

Great job only 59,000 more to catch Wesley!

I really hope we run transition, work it inside, and attack the rim to try and get And 1 attempts.

If we come out and just start jacking up the 3 at first glance on every offensive possession I am just going to stop watching away games. I HATE when we try and get into 3pt shooting contests on the road. Home team will win that a majority of the time.

The most likely prediction of pregame stats should be Jameel with 3 rejects.

I just hope Fred prepared the team with a better plan with regard to our 3 point defense. It felt like KU passed down low, waited for the double team, and then swung it out to Selden for 3 a million times. And we weren't able to adjust. Obviously Hield is a very good 3 point shooter as well.

We end up closing out well and win by 2-5 points. I think we have a favorable shooting night but our defense struggles to keep them off the offensive boards, keeping them in it longer than they should. I believe Dustin "Dusty" Hogue has a big night as well as Georges keeps his good play going. Buddy Hield will probably have a big night, id think 24 and 6, most coming in the second half to keep them in it while we try to pull away. Spangler will probably have a good night too he seems to always get his against us. I truly believe this is the biggest week in the BIG12 for us and if we come away with 2 wins these next 2 games, that will give a big boost coming down the later half of the conference season.
