Lost opportunities. Both teams made some big plays, both teams did things to bungle it away.

Should've run the ball a couple of plays on the drive when Park threw the INT (it wasn't a bad play-call, Iowa player simply got it).

I've seen fewer dropped passes in a nightclub.

Non-call on Iowa offensive-PI was turrible. Hardly call it a game-changer, but getting that call could've have hurt.
The missed offensive pi call would have set up 3rd and 17. That is huge. Instead it was 3rd and 2 so we have to respect the run.

He threw it right to him. That play is the reason we lost today.

Just finished watching on delay. Offensive pi was absolutely horrible no call and critical in the outcome. Someday I'd love to watch a game where officiating doesn't impact outcome.

we simply didn't finish and I feel there was clock mismanagement by our coaches. The PI that wasn't called was unfortunate but that stuff happens.

our corners are going to get us killed this year. NS could have thrown for 500+ yards had he been more accurate. We don't cover well down field at all...or wide.

Anyway, tough loss. I'm sure the guys in the locker room hate it a lot more than we do.

Montgomery is maybe the best player we've had since Troy Davis.

That game reminded me a lot of the 2011 game. My heart can't take those kinds of games.

Tough loss, and I agree that the team needs to learn to win still. The thing is they've made progress in other areas, I think those other areas will lead to them figuring it out and I look forward to when that switch hopefully flips. Our offense should prove exciting again, gotta still figure out a lot on D.

Can you explain how it didn't? Yes there's other factors but if Park doesn't throw the pick, Iowa doesn't get the field goal, we take time off the clock, and we even possibly score.

Well, let's see. There were like a gajillion missed tackles on Wadley's game-tying TD. Maybe start looking at that play for other reasons why ISU lost. They also got no pressure on Stanley at all, especially late.

Was the interception a pivotal moment? Absolutely. Was it THE reason ISU lost? No.

All told, I was impressed. I figured ISU's offense would be good, and it was. But while the defense definitely had some key miscues, they looked much better than I anticipated. They definitely showed some potential in the third quarter. This team is going places this year, and none of them will be the Big 12 cellar. ISU finally has a real answer at QB for the first time since Seneca Wallace, and Campbell looks like the real deal.

How many long 3rd down conversions did Iowa make today.
And even with that ISU had them 50 yards from pay dirt, with like a minute and a half to go..
