Gotta win out at home, at least one more on the road + take care of Vandy. That gets us to 19-11 (10-8) with wins over Baylor and WV. Likely around a 9-10 seed. Asking a lot of this team, though. I feel like that's the ceiling, maybe going 7-11 is the floor given that we already won a game on the road.

I've arrived at the conclusion that there is no such thing as "good Burton/bad Burton." Bad shots are bad shots. When they fall it just masks his selfish play. He is the pivot point of our offense but he refuses to get others involved. Absolutely kills our ball movement.

We do a excellent job of turning teams over, but give those possessions, and more, back with a severe lack of rebounding.

Having said that, if they can find a way to shoot just a little better, especially from 3, then we'll be ok.

I'm going to give Matt the benefit of the doubt with his heel spurs I know it can be debilitating at certain times, but he's not producing nearly enough for us.

I felt that KU just toyed with us all night. We never realistically had a shot to win. Any time we got kinda close, they just extended it back to about 10. They could score whenever they wanted.

Our team is just not fun to watch at all if you enjoy good fundamental basketball. We do about everything wrong and are only successful if we hit a prayer, well guarded 3 it seems. We don't run anything.

We do have some decent young talent coming in next year, but I'm not convinced Prohm will have them play good fundamental basketball and will just let them stand around and go one on one all night like he is this year.

So I don't want to be a complete Debbie downer but does anyone else realize how bad we are going to be next year? "Our 3 Starters" (young, babb and Jackson) cored 4 points combined. We legit might end up 10th in the big 12 next year. Basketball is going to fall as coast as football rises and that's just sad.

We certainly will not be a tourney team next year. This is a tough league, so 10th isn't out of the question. Not sure who's going to lose more than us going into next year and we might be 7th or 8th this season.

As bad as this team played there is no reason that game should have been that close. The staff has some work to do. Get some movement on offense and get Young more PT. They had their chances to win.

I'm mad right now, most of all because I wanted Bryce Drew, not Steve Prohm. I didn't want a guy who knew how to coach elite guards to play terrible defense, I wanted a guy who could coach mediocre talent into playing decent defense.

I guess I'm just mad because I'm not Jamie Pollard and didn't get my pick.

This just feels like the Wayne Morgan teams where it just feels disjointed at all times and there is no resemblance of offense. Its just hoping we are more talented. I still stick to my prediction of being a 7 through 9 win conference team. Dont see how we make it to the Tournament.

Possibly. There's also a chance that Lewis and Wigginton turn out pretty good and Prohm finds a non bust to play inside. Sadly, both seem very likely at the moment

Didn't expect a win tonight, and TBH was pleased with out fight again while being out-manned in the post (much like the game at Baylor). Problem is, we will continue to get eaten alive inside by any teams with size. Really need to win these next three games (@OU, KSU, @Vandy) to get the confidence back up and give ourselves a shot to make the dance. We're squarely on the bubble right now folks.

ISU is who we thought they were. There have been ups and downs but at the end of the day we are an above average, but not great team. Could still make a tournament run with the right draw and some upsets, you never know.
Agree.

IF we make the tournament, were gunna be alot like a mid major team. Complete lack of size, but an ability to create mis matches, and if they get hot, then we'll be dangerous. Problem is, if they're a 7-10 seed, then they'll be facing a very tough team in the second round that will be able to exploit or weakness.

Nobody. Seems like most teams retain nearly everyone for next year.

Bowie: 0, 0 and 0.

Thomas: 6, 0, and 0.

Not sure many how many mins they played, but enough to know its tough to make up for that lack of production.

Unfortunately it's a team made up of complementary players that can't consistently play at the level needed to beat top teams or beat decent teams on the road.
