Offense plays tentative and has zero confidence at this point which tends to happen when the D knows exactly what you're going to do. Dekkers is far from perfect but he's way better than what we're seeing and it's because Manning refuses to call plays that play to Hunter's strengths. We could have some success throwing deep every now and then but simply choose to do what the D wants us to do instead. If you're going to be predictable, you have to be nearly perfect play in and play out at every position and we're not. Not going to win much trying to just play straight up hard ass unimaginative football.
Blaming Dekkers, the line, X, or any of the offensive players is ********. This piss poor excuse of an offense is on the coaches and while Manning likely needs to go for us to significantly improve, it all comes down to the head dude. Time to live up to that reputation as a leader and get this thing on the right track. True leaders take the heat and focus off everybody else and carry that burden. While I fully expect Campbell to do that to some extent in the media, I question if he'll ultimately make the difficult decision to move on from his friend. We need an OC who can get the team ready to execute and more importantly make in game adjustments when necessary. If Campbell is too stubborn to hand over the reins to someone qualified, as others have said, it might turn into a downward spiral he can't pull out of.
