Just sick after this one. To top it off, threw my remote in my lap and hit the soft spot to make it truly feel like a kick in the nuts. Great game, loved them coming back in the 4th, but now I think CPR has his toughest coaching task yet to keep this team rolling into Boulder and not dwelling on what might have been and losing this team.

Apparently I'm in the minority here but I thought our playcalling, not just the fake XP, was what lost us the game. I can only remember one 3rd down play all game that we had a receiver running a route past the 1st down marker. And Arnaud threw a pick on that play. We should have used the wind to our advantage and gone for the win at the end of the game. We should have considered the wind and the fact that we were leaving the ball in the hands of a backup kicker when we tried the fake FG. I am very proud of this team and the game but this one feels like a giveaway.

With the wind or without, Nebby runs for a touchdown. It sucks to lose this way no question, but they played a hell of a game. And the coaches called what they needed to to keep it close. Weather we agree or not, this team was ranked higher than Utah when we got our ***** handed to us by them. Would we have liked to see a win, hell yes, but you can't forget the positives that this game was. We took them to the wire, and a little past it. I have not complaints this game at all. The Cyclones are playing good football right now. Even AA showed his moxy today. After throwing those two picks, he leads a 72 yard scoring drive to put us back in this game.

Don't get down on this. This is a quality football team, showing they can take some adversity now and still succeed.

Confession time.

I broke one of my rules today.

Under CPR, we have an excellent record when on TV but I do not watch it. Heard the OT TD on the radio, changed channels, and saw the INT live.

How long am I banned for?

Heartbroken, just completely heartbroken! I don't want this to be a criticism because I am so pumped that we had the shot to win the game, but any athlete should know to put something on that throw. Either lob to back corner or put something on it and we win 32-31. You just can't lob the football there, that's what hurts.

What a way it would have been to push Nebby out and put us in great position to win the North.

Nobody should question the call, it was WIDE OPEN, and when I say wide I mean grand canyon wide. The part that makes me upset is imagining how great I would have felt when Franklin came down with that pass. Get it next week!

That was such a great call and such a weak pass. I think he thought he was wide open and didn't want to overthrow him. It looked like he was throwing darts instead of a football.

Exactly what I think happened and the reason the pass was lobbed. He thought Franklin was WIDE open...didn't see the LBer out of the corner of his eye. I don't blame the kid for the pass at all. It was actually a pretty great play/recovery by the kid who intercepted it.

IT was a great call, the execution just wasn't quite there. Without the wind, it's a touchdown, with the wind, and a little more zip behind the ball, it's a TD. I complained for too many years when Mac was here about us not trying to win the game. Rhoads tried to win the game today. This team played balls out and came up 2 points short of beating the #7 team in the country. I have no doubt we will be bowling this year. I love this team and this coach.
Every single letter of this message is true.

Right now, honestly, I want to blame CPR for the play call, and blame the players for lack of execution. However, even in this loss, let's look at the big picture. This was the 4th top 10 team we played this year. We lost to the first three by a combined score of 155-34. To lose by 1 to the #7 team today, shows CPR has this program in headed in the right direction. Maybe for their own sake, Nebraska is getting out of the Big 12 at the right time.

Ultimately, if you want something to put this loss on, put it on the turnovers. Nebraska had something like 21 points off of Cyclone turnovers.

Trust me, I am not down on this team at all. I was very impressed with their ability to come back when it looked like it could get ugly. It was just frustrating to see 3rd down play time and time again going for 3 yards on 3rd and 8. And for everyone saying "play to win the game" what about the 3 TO's and 40 seconds to go at the end? I would have loved to see us pick up some yards and at least have a chance at a long FG with the wind.

Am calming down a bit now. We really went toe to toe with them, if someone didn't tell you who was ranked number 7 you wouldn't have known for sure. Just amazed how physical our team has become, that looked like two very very good football teams exchanging blows. I think we might finally have a keeper in PR. Long time since I have seen our team play the way these guys are. Nothing that happened today was a fluke. We need to step up and win these games going forward, because we know we can now. Fortuantely, games like this are why kids go to ISU, so we can sell that, because we will have several shots at giants every year, and I think we will get our share.

We gave the game away imo. Missed FG, a pick-six, TO's.

I would like the call a lot better if we had a QB at holder.

Another thing, our guys play with confidence now. Hard to explain it, but you know it when you see it.

seriously...when was the last time we had a 2 TD 4th quarter comeback against a good defense?

This one hurts. Worse than any other loss. I wanted it so bad, and we were so close.

I'm just numb right now.

There is no reason for our team not to have a bounce in their step the rest of the year!

Love you guys!

I understand everyone saying that Paul played to win the game in OT but you can't say he played to win the game with the call to kneel in the 4th with 3 TO's. Plus I have seen time and time again when a fake is called and they fail to execute. Put your O on the field and try if you want but don't leave it up to a bunch of guys who haven't played their ***** off for 60 minutes.
