Prediction: Texas @ ISU

Case McCoy played well a week ago with no real expectations. Now he has two weeks for the pressure to build right along side with Longhorn expectations. They now all think he is Colt 2.0, but he's not ready and will crumble under the pressure of a surprisingly hostile environment at Jack Trice Stadium. He throws 3 picks, gets sacked 4 times, and the Cyclones win 28-16.
U think that skinny freshman qb will put up 38 points against a wally burnham coached defense? Interesting.
Honestly the Cyclones have led a charmed life in the first three games. Texas has all kinds of talent, you worry about them putting things together sooner or later. I fear Texas will just pound the ball and wear the Clones out in the second half. Texas 34 ISU 17.

if we start slow we are done the only way we win this is hit them fast and not let up...there will be no 4th quarter comeback on this one
I still think that this is out of reach for a freshman QB to handle. No way he puts up 42 in Jack Trice as a freshman. Unless the Texas defense scores 21 points.
If Gilbert was the QB for Texas, I'd be predicting an ISU victory. But since he's not, I don't know. I think it will be close.
Texas looks like they've improved over last year by quite a bit, but we got them at home this time, so who knows?
If Leonard Johnson and Reeves can be shut down corners all night long and shut down the passing attack, I think we can load the box and stop their run game.
But if they're able to throw the ball on us and we have to put extra guys back in coverage, I think they will run all over us. I have confidence in our DB's though. I think this game will be close.
