semi-serious post before we go back to happy times.

I just want to say that I appreciate how when Rabbuk asked Bu about a different chapter of his fraternity, Bu's response was to condemn what was suspected and say how wrong it was. It's a shame that not everyone can acknowledge the flaws in their organizations and renounce them similarly.

Being the father of 2 boys, I feel guilty about breathing a sigh of relief that their likelihood of being a victim of that crime is lower...but I also feel the weight of responsibility of teaching them that there is zero tolerance from me on any form of harming a woman (well, for the most part, men either, but there are exceptions), whether it be physical, emotional, or sexual. I'm still peeved about the way the BIL and nephew talked to SIL...trying to decide if I should send BIL an e-mail....

If I can be Serious Pantsy for a second, I fully support this.

And I don't care if a woman is walking down the street naked, my first thought shouldn't be "I should rape this chick."

Well...I had a TL:DR superserious double ought post written, then realized this doesn't need any more said on it other than men who harm women is a hot button issue for me, personally.

I think trying to raise kind, respectful sons is about the only and best thing you can do. And it starts young. I was reading an article a couple years ago about a mom who watched a boy at her daughter's daycare keep knocking down the block tower her daughter was building, even though her daughter asked him to stop. The boy's mom, when asked to make her son stop, used the "boys will be boys" line and it hit the girl's mom that this is where it starts. Teaching them to respect boundaries and control their actions from a young age. Not letting them think that because they are boys, they can't control themselves.

The east cost sucks for watching sports timewise. The late games (like tonight's) don't get over until 11 PM. Makes for a long next day when you have to get up at 5.

I was pretty drunk when I asked that... But read that response and had more respect for Bu

Pacific time, and to a lesser extent Mountain time are wonderful for watching sports. Getting that first cup of coffee right when the first NFL games start is the best.

The UK-UT game being the early one just gives me reason to bail for Happy Hour at 5.

I'm not sure the world is ready for BDK and Mr. cowgirl on the roads at the same time. Honestly, I feel kind of in the most danger, I'm right in the middle, not sure what side to watch out for.
You should be, you live in Iowa City
