Since I am done flying for 2018, I finished inputting all my data and I got some stats and maps! This is my lowest flying total in a year since I started full time but neat data nonetheless.

So looks like if you lived in Atlanta, you might have more direct flights?
I mean it's a personal choice because I choose to fly Delta. American pissed me off too much so I switched. It meant way less direct flights since Dallas isn't a Delta hub anymore but worth it because Delta is way better in my experience.

Here is 2016 when I flew only American which has it's HQ in Dallas.

Not exactly sure.
The people posting about road tripping down to San Antonio makes me wish I took today off and just drove down. I much prefer a road trip over flying.
10 FREAKING hours of driving in heavy rain. These morons from the south drive worse than my 87 year old mom. Who ditches because of rain?

I was channeling my inner @wxman1 last night and this morning and sending my niece NWS graphics since they would be starting from Indy today and driving to Montana. Grand Forks office is pumping out some great stuff, easy to grasp graphics with none of the local TV ********. Apparently I got their attention as they packed last night and hit the road at 6:30 a.m. this morning. Of course they will be driving right into the worst of it but hopefully can make it into ND somewhere by the end of the day before they have to hunker down.

They dont happen to drive a big ass Dodge truck do they?

If you've been in parts of Texas during flash flood level rains, it should make more sense to you.

Darn it, I forgot to set my voicemail at work. I have no idea how to get into the voicemail system from home. Guess I better run in before I get to the airport. Got plenty of time at least.

Just got an alert from AA that my flight is cancelled. Showed on time 30 minutes ago.:mad::mad:

The phone link they sent me does't work, if I try to pull up my flight on their webpage it just fails.
When I call they transfer you and then hang up on you telling you to call back later.

I should get in the truck and start driving. I would just like a confirmation that they are going to give me a refund. Knowing the airlines they'll claim they don't have to.

I saw on Twitter when flights were cancelled out of Omaha a group of Cyclone strangers rented a van and started driving. What a crap travel day!

My parents left about 9am on the 25th, stopped in southern OK the first night about 2hrs from Dallas. Said traffic was slow through Austin, made it to SA about 3:30 yesterday. They are at the Mokara on the river walk.

We had talked about hubby going with my dad, but my dad wanted my mom to go along (she likes San Antonio) so then it was going to be both of us. He booked us in his room and bought us tickets. But with my mom going we had no babysitter, plus we have a big trip planned for spring break next year so didn’t want to spend extra money right now. My dad and I were running errands a few weeks ago and he was like, “picked up my bowl tickets from the althleitcs office today.” I asked where they were—“a suite”. Kinda wish we would have gone with them. ;)

Would your dad be interested in having a fill in family for you? Can claim son or daughter and then 3 grandkids. Just offerring to help out. Has nothing to do with the suite.

They actually sent me an alternative itinerary. Leave Saturday morning, arrive in San Antonio at 1pm, fly out of San Antonio at 2:44 pm. Brilliant.
Too late to cancel a hotel room.
Website still doesn't work and still getting hug up on when I try to call due to volume.

Edit - I just read that again. On WHAT planet is that a viable "alternative"?
