I was channeling my inner @wxman1 last night and this morning and sending my niece NWS graphics since they would be starting from Indy today and driving to Montana. Grand Forks office is pumping out some great stuff, easy to grasp graphics with none of the local TV ********. Apparently I got their attention as they packed last night and hit the road at 6:30 a.m. this morning. Of course they will be driving right into the worst of it but hopefully can make it into ND somewhere by the end of the day before they have to hunker down.

I knew my nephew-in-law was an endurance driving CWM but, damn, they started out from Indy at 5:30 a.m. our time and last text I got from niece is they were still going and west of Bismarck at midnight last night with no driver switching.

Edit: Just heard update and he drove all the way home to eastern Montana in one shot. Beat the blizzard stuff. I R impressed with his crazy.

This time I got far enough to leave a callback number so they will supposedly call me back when I get to the front of the line. Of course that means I have to stay home all day as I did it from my home phone.

After several attempts, including trying to back up, the FedEx guy gave up trying to get up the hill in front of my house. He's walking the package up the hill now. It's only a 100 yard hill at the end of the dead end but it's pretty steep and I'd swear all of the delivery trucks (and the local Post Office mobile) have crappy bald tires.

Well, I was finally able to in touch with the airline for a refund. I guess just cut my losses. It would be dumb to start driving now.

Celebrating first meal in days, if you call 6 oz of Mtn Dew and a handful of oyster crackers a meal. Quiet day at our house since DH got sick last night. So glad we didn’t plan on going to the bowl game.
But the issues others are having really suck.

If you made the interstate 7 lanes wide and raised the speed limit to 90 mph.....about 10% of people would still probably drive 120mph like aggresive a$$holes while texting and whatever else these dicks do and get into wrecks on the interstate to screw up everyone else's travel efforts. Thanks ********. I don't like People.

yeah I got worse overnight too. Weird because the fever was gone but suffice it to say I lost a good bit of weight in about 12 hours. But I feel pretty good, so odd. Hope you guys are on the mend.

Pouring rain here and I mean hard pour. So odd to see standing water in our back yard on Dec. 27.
