La Crosse Trib saying 31 pts for Thomas on 10-17 shooting in only 17 mins of play... Pretty impressive, even against Div 2 (2nd largest class) in WI.

He also led the team in rebounding (8) and "combined with Clint Rihn for 7 steals"...

If it comes down to Travis and Vaughn for the last scholarship I'd put a ton of money on Vaughn. I may be wrong but that's where my money would go regardless of need. Vaughn is a national statement recruit. Travis is a notch below by Minnesotan's accounts. Things could change of course.

Agreed. I think Travis would fill more of a team need, but from the perspective of national buzz and overall pure talent, Vaughn would be the better choice.

^ link to Reid Travis article by Cody Westerlund. Good reading.

although Travis is "undersized" as a 6'-7" PF, I really his power game. At this point he is physically dominating his opponents, and working on his outside skills. I think he'd be a great compliment to Georges and Percy, who aren't necessarily real physical.

throwing some things at the wall: Can he be a more skilled version of Ejim? A "power 3" vs. a "finesse 3" like Clyburn?

I love the idea of post players that have a football player body/mentality. Sort of Godfrey-like. Physical, scrappy, tough. He would be a perfect fit for our team, IMO.

Man, if we could get solid, and sometimes elite players on the regular from MI, WI, & MN. So much talent up there, Chicago area as well but it's tough to get anyone up there these days. Get em Fred, once we land a quality highschool big man, this forum will explode.

Man are we going to have a talented backcourt for years to come. If the frontcourt catches up, look out college basketball world.
