So...the real question is what happens now?

So assuming that the article has all the holes in it like JP says it does, nothing wrong was done but leaves a huge black eye on ISU athletics even if completely untrue. Such an ISU thing to happen to us.

If Fred comes out and backs up JP's story....then Hines looks like an *******. Problem is.......the perception is already out there now, and unfortunately, the national reporters covering and re-tweeting the "juicy" story are not likely to give the same coverage to JP's or Fred's comments. Damage is done. It sucks.

"Zero issues" with Pollard's handling of the basketball program.

Talked two days ago about families. Bonded by heart issue. Have a great relationship with him and thank him for that.

Travis may not be long for the Trib regardless. He'll either move up or down...or maybe laterally, but I don't think he'll be in town. He has either done really great work on this story or really crappy work.

The noon checkout for a 6PM flight is easily proven, and he led with that making it seem like he forced the team to sleep in a hotel lobby to save a few pennies. Given that, I'm going with "really crappy work".
