I think Chris Boucher was a senior until granted an extra year a couple weeks ago.

Well granting other circumstance you have 3 years to play two seasons of juco. So you can only be eligible for two of them.hence why 99.9% are juniors or sophmores. So unless you use one year at a different level then transfer to juco then back to d1 that's the case. I should have said almost never

A guy can dream right? If we were to land him and Malou is the one and done type talent some seem to think would this be the most explosive offense in ISU history?

Monte Morris 6'2" Senior
Naz Long 6'4" Senior
Matt Thomas 6'4" Senior
Emmanuel Malou 6'9" Junior
Stefan Jankovic 6'11" Senior

Instant offense Burton and Jackson off the bench. Bowie and Cooke.

your forgetting about Babb. He is good enough to see a lot of minutes.

If I was Babb I'd be copying Naz Longs freshman offseason. Become a deadly three point shooter and lockdown defender. If he can do that at a higher clip than Cooke I am all for it. I just have a hard time envisioning more than a 8-9 man rotation. I agree though I'm excited to see what Babb brings. He's a more physical guard and from what I've heard great defender like his brother.

I would opine that we have zero inside height and could use this guy all day long. If scolis are an issue then I vote to remove Cooke. I watched him all year and wondered why he was even given a scholarship? If Ernst cannot go then he needs to go as well - having a bench of non-players killed us this year. No point in stringing it along another year. Lack of inside size will not get us 25+ wins as some have predicted with a 3 guard offense - it will get you crushed on boards and double digit losses. Go get somebody other than the benchwarmers we currently have.

Glad you aren't involved. Cooke has talent; that's why he was given a scholarship. He didn't play bad as a freshman at Oregon State. Even NBA scouts paid attention to him while he was there(because they don't just scout one year at a time like you probably think). I'm sure you are also one of the idiots who hated on Matt Thomas his first few years because he didn't live up to the hype of his talent level right away.

If he is a physical defender and rebounder to go with his scoring, he sounds like a very solid transfer. That said, I have a tough time believing a kid goes from Hawaii to Ames, Ia.

He started off at Missouri and transferred out from there originally.

Will Malou be a sophomore or junior next year? I ask because he only played 1 year of Juco ball and isn't playing this year. Seems he could use redshirt this year and come in as sophmore

Probably played in too many games this year to be able to do that. Played in 14 games this year.

Pretty sure Jankovic would only be a junior too. He was a sophomore this year at Hawai'i and is immediately eligible because of their postseason ban, not because he's graduating.

Also went to Mizzou before transferring to Hawaii.
Yeah I don't get the climate concern. This will be a basketball decision, and ISU has a lot to offer an immediately eligible 6'11" transfer this offseason. There'll be lots of competition, but I assume we'll have as good a chance as anybody.
