Bump, traveling soon. Anything new?
I'm in the middle of "The Way of Shadows" by Brent Weeks. First book in a series. Very dark fantasy. Very good so far

Still reading and enjoying Mark Lewisohn's opus (the long version) on the Beatle's early years (through 1962). Tune-In.

Last book I finished reading was The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Not an overly long book. Just a nice story with some light philosophy that can apply to any religion or lack therefore. Kind of reminds me of Treasure Island in that it's easy to read with a classic prose.

View attachment 118253 I get buried in 1830-1840s books about history west of the Mississippi. Its just me. My imagination runs while while reading. The best ones were written in the 1800's.
I read a lot of fairly broad history, but it's nice to narrow the scope way down to people who don't have a lot of history books written about them.

Blindsight by Peter Watts. Highly acclaimed sci fi book that I somehow missed for years. Loving it so far.
