Why say such foolish things when you've clearly never watched an NBA game?

I posted similar sentiments a couple of days ago that he had a chance to be drafted, and compared his stats vs Cliff Alexander. Amazing how many people posted "LOL" at the suggestion, as if they know 100% what the future holds.

Agree with you assessment that he needs to gain strength/weight, and develop a jumper.
Tough to compare McKay to Alexander when Alexander is a freshman, and Mckay is in his 4th year of college bball. That's a lot of time to potentially develop

...as an ISU fan, is it OK if I just enjoy seeing what he does for his career at ISU?

I'll wait until Fred expands his strengths to see if he's ready to bore me to death in the NBA.

Just think about the Cleveland Cavs. At the 5 is a 25 year old 7'1" center that weighs like 270. At the 4 is 6'10" Kevin Love. At the 3 is 6'8" 250 lb Lebron James. Who would McKay or GN match up with? They just aren't ready to play defense against those men.

Actually he would match up with Love.

What does McKay have to do to join Brackins, White, Clyburn, Garrett, McGee, Kane, Babb and Ejim in the NBA. I don't really follow the NBA, but I'm sure all of these guys must be there after reading about their future NBA careers on CF.

People I was joking about all three leaving after this year. And I'm saying it will happen, but georges can help an NBA team. Think Boris Diaw. They are the exact se listed height and similar bodies/athleticism. Monte needs to work on some things and continue to drive to the rack imo. Mckay has the length and athleticism but will get bodied off the block. Needs to add some size. A lot of it would depend on what team signs them to their squad (practice or if they got drafted). So much of it is fit in a system too.

Mckay's length and motor will give him a chance to show his stuff. For late first round/ second round picks, it seems to me that NBA teams base their final decisions heavily on pre-draft workouts against other prospects. Your college career just gets you the invite. McKay is clearly a work in progress with lots of room for improvement, but with a high ceiling. Most will disagree, but I think Mckay's nba chances are greater than Monte's. (lots of good PGs in the nba)

Somewhere in the U.S.
Pick up some of Georges' moves around the basket while he has the chance to be his teammate. Work on some shots besides dunks. Add a few pounds and some more muscle. Learn to make his free throws at a much greater rate....whatever it takes.

To be fair, Brackins and White were both first round picks, but I agree, the hype train sometimes gets rolling a bit too hard.

No....just no.

Georges offensively has the skill set. Defensively Georges stands no chance and regardless of what people think that does matter to teams in the NBA. Even good defenders get scored on...Georges is a terrible defender and would get eaten alive at the next level.
