Watched 6Underground with Ryan Reynolds on Netflix. It was surprisingly good with some solid action scenes. Didn't know until the end it was a Michael Bay movie. 100% wouldn't have watched it if I knew that in advance, but glad I didn't.
Really interested in 1917 for realism in ww1. But they act like losing 1600 troops would be some big deal and... @CycloneErik
Haven’t seen this discussed so sorry if it has but I just watched it last night and highly recommend. Other than a handful of brief lulls, this movie just keeps coming at you and hits you with a sense of urgency and dread throughout. If you’re not sold on Pattinson and his performance in this doesn’t change your mind, you’re probably just never going to like anything he does. He kills it scene after scene and got me even more excited to see him in The Lighthouse.
Nothing to add here except 15:17 to Paris was arguably the worst movie I've ever seen. Only time I've debated leaving the theaterOf his latest ones, I found The Mule entertaining enough and The 15:17 to Paris to be somewhat unwatchable. Granted, The 15:17 to Paris was all kind of one big experiment of trying to use the actual real-life people from the event in their own roles as actors. Needless to say, I can't say it was too successful.
I'll be the first to admit I'm not a huge Scorcese guy. I know this is blasphemous but I actively think Casino sucks and I don't get the mass appeal of Goodfellas.
The Irishman is fine. I ended up finishing it as I came in to work late today. It 100% would not be getting the attention it's getting if it didn't have all of these older guys in it as their last go 'round.
I have to admit I just listened to a podcast where the people were just going on and on about how Scorcese is a master and people complaining about the length are just uncultured rubes and it just drives me crazy. "YOU CAN'T QUESTION SCORCESE! THE MOVIE IS THE RIGHT LENGTH TO TELL HIS STORY! HE'S A MASTER!" Well guess what, Silence was too dang long. The Wolf of Wall Street was too dang long. Casino was too dang long. I can like the guy's movies and think they are too long. He's the drama equivalent of Judd Apatow. I like Apatow movies too but they are all too long.
Saw "Knives Out" this weekend. Great movie, Daniel Craig is amazing. Highly recommend.
Anyone seen Uncut Gems? Going Tuesday and am excited. Pretty good reviews so far
Went with a group of 5, 3 of us really liked it, including myself. Other two did not like it at all but I think they didn’t know anything about it beforehand and thought it was going to be a typical Sandler movie and were thrown off. There were a few gambling mistakes that directors should’ve caught, but nothing egregious enough to make me not like itHow was 'Uncut Gems'? Preview looked really good.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood just won the Golden Globe for best Movie in the Comedy or Musical category.

Watched the Togo trailer with my 6 and almost 4 year old girls and we're planning on watching it. Looks like there might be some intense scenes but I'm thinking if they could handle Shazam (skipped the board room scene where the dude gets thrown out the window obviously) they can handle Togo.I also watched TOGO last night, which is a Disney+ original movie and really loved it. I'd totally recommend it to anyone. Its based on the true story of a sled dog in Alaska back in 1925. I know it is Disney+'s first original movie where they are getting good reviews across the board. However, if it means anything, I also fairly enjoyed Disney+'s live-action Lady and the Tramp as well, which didn't get so kind of reviews. Therefore, I've really enjoyed everything that service has put out so far.

While the other theaters were all packed with people for Star Wars TROS, we had the entire theater to ourselves while finally watching Ford V Ferrari.
That was definitely worth seeing on the big screen. Bale was really really good.
