You've got to like the fact he's seen Dekkers in practice and decided to return. If he didn't have confidence in his capabilities he may have made a different decision.

Attended the practice. I was very impressed with Rocco. Great arm, great feet, and very poised. I really think he's gonna push for #2 QB.
Jirel looked strong. Was disappointed that Silas wasn't suited up. He must be dinged up.
Looks like our offense will be more wide open with Dekker's ability to throw down field.

In stature, he reminds me of Purdy because he's not very tall, but he's very agile and seems very accurate.
Nice to get to see Greg Gaines #0 in person. He looks like a Big 12 receiver, had a few nice catches, and some good yardage after making catches.
More or less mobile than Purdy? I got the vibe he may be a little quicker on his feet.
The guy I came away most impressed with was Tyler Miller, he absolutely manhandled will on a few passing downs.
I’m planning on making it over to East High in two weeks. Hopefully the high school drug cartel will take a break that day and stay home. I’d hate to have some kid pop a cap in my ass.
I can't say for sure, but from what I observed I'd say Rocco is every bit as mobile as Purdy, if not more. He didn't look like a true freshman out there as he was very poised and made some excellent passes.
It's just one night, but this very small sample suggests to me that he's the real deal. No doubt, though, that Dekker is the solid #1 QB.

I also was impressed with freshman running back Cartevious Norton. He's built a little like Silas - short, quick, and strong. We're very deep at running back.
