I don't know Johhhhhnnnnnnnnn Thompsooooooooooonnnn and his really slow talking is right up there
Really be interesting to see who they get. I feel like their program is in real trouble right now, and thought DG would bring an immediate spark, even if it was only a stop gap.
College basketball is all about amassing talent. Williams is 100% spot on talking about how Fred knew that, and that Fred would've had a much more difficult time if he were starting out now with how active high major transfers are now. He didn't have any real connections to high school pipelines and he and Matt aggressively dove into the transfer pool.
Gottlieb IMO, between his brother and connections he has through his (now deceased) father would've been able to get some impressive talent to Stillwater.
The failures out there like Clyde Drexler and Chris Mullin (again, Matt A can't get the quality of transfers anymore because everyone else hopped into the pool) is they had no connection to recruiting or evaluating talent. Doug can do that.

Was going to ask the same thing. If he was truly one of the top up and comers, I feel like I would have at least heard his name before.
