Logan Stieber will likely be a 4 timer. I think the best comparison for Taylor would be Metcalf..Dominant, very few losses, but also only a 2 time champion.

That's a really good comparison, especially when it comes to adoration vs. results.

I'm not saying Taylor is the best ever, or he's way better than Ruth, but give the kid credit. If he doesn't get caught against Jenkins, and doesn't end up in the same weight class as Dake, he's a 4 time champion.

Part of his appeal is his ability to dominate and score alot of points, which I think is great for college wrestling, and you can't deny his ability to get points and falls.

Yep exactly. Not gong to take anything away from him but I just don't fully agree with the talkers labeling him as "elite". I mean Logie is a 3x
Oliver was the better wrestler 2 years ago. Notice that Tsirtsis got a take down to the butt called tonight in his favor.

Um.. pretty sure every post in reply to you has said the kid is awesome and no one takes anything away from him. Everyone here is giving the kid credit. We were taking about how the over "hype" of him being labeled as one of the greatest.

Did they not have the official review thing for the Oliver-Stieber match? I don't remember, but I don't think so.

You're right, but what separates him fro Varner, and so many others is his ability to dominant, and get so many bonus points.

He makes those ankle picks and other TD moves look so easy, no matter which opponent, and that's impressive.
Yet Taylor's style is tailored for folkstyle. Varner has a gold medal, and I just don't see Taylor getting one. Sanderson was very lucky to get his, and got out right after.

Logans career isn't over. He will receive all the same attention next year.
Key word I said IS, meaning currently. He will be a 4x. What I am getting at is I promise you ,and if you argue you are delusional, he will not get the love that Taylor has gotten PERIOD.

Taylor's number of bonus point victories is staggering. The last 3 years he has basically destroyed everyone he's wrestled with the exception of Dake (who's only a 4-time champ)

I freaking hate the Magic Man nickname, that is so lame. Where was the magic last year against Dake?

I agree that next year Steiber won't get the same kind of adulation Taylor got this year or Dake got in 2013. He's not nearly as flashy and is more of a grind it out hard nosed guy, definitely not the star material Dake and Taylor were. Those guys were perfect for what ESPN wanted

I broke out laughing when I saw Dake on ESPN tonight. The guy was basically a male model with all that makeup and the designer suit.

I mean, it worked for him, but it still made me laugh.

Big XII ended up with 11 AAs and 2 champions. Big 10 ended up with 34 AAs and 6 champions. So about the same per school.
