There's no comparison between Niang's supporting cast and Uthoff's. Jok = Thomas and that's about it. Advantage ISU across the board. Saying Niang is better than Uthoff is like saying Emmitt Smith was better than Barry Sanders.

Well for what it's worth, ESPN. And if you look on reddit/fb seems like most are going Uthoff. In either case, I still hope Georges sees this.
So ISU is better than Iowa?

What is your point here. The quality of team has nothing to do with the quality of player.
Lots of stat talk going on. You seriously don't think the fact that Uthoff bears much, much more of the burden to carry Iowa both offensively and defensively matters? Opposing teams gameplan around stopping Uthoff and that's about it. Niang has the luxury of Monte, McKay, Nader, et al to share that burden. Uthoff and Niang are essentially equal in terms of the numbers. But Uthoff is earning those stats as the only real go-to guy for Iowa with the other teams focused almost entirely on stopping him and him alone. Niang doesn't have to worry about that.
no, it's nothing like that comparison.
If Niang had to he could score a more points in a game. Him having better players around him probably brings his point total down.
Here is the PER for the starting 5 for each squad.
ISU Player Efficiency Rankings:
Niang 26.6
Morris 23.4
McKay 22.3
Nader 17.4
Thomas 13
Iowa Player Efficiency Rankings:
Uthoff 30.4
Jok 21.6
Gesell 20.0
Woodbury 18.5
Clemmons 12.9
You have to remember Uthoff's are half that in the 2nd half.
Sure. If he were to draw twice the defensive attention of the opposing team as he's currently getting, of course he would score more points per game. Makes perfect sense.
I suppose if you lined up 15 GM's from the NBA and asked if they had to chose between the two (right now) as the last two guys they could pick from to draft, more would choose Uthoff. Think he can get his shot off over people more so than Georges, and get blocks. Although Georges is a good passer and pretty crafty around the basket, not sure how it will translate to the league. But, who cares, wouldn't want to trade them. Niang is right up at the top as one of the greatest Cyclones and has been for four years.
IDK Thomas seemed to shut Uthoff down.
