Other than Petras being horribly inaccurate, the biggest thing I noticed on that side of the ball was their OL was getting killed. Multiple defenders in the backfield immediately after the snap. And then Petras is immobile and will usually take a sack without even trying to get outside the pocket.
I'm really interested in Iowa's offensive gameplan. I'm expecting a lot of jailbreak screens and jet sweeps to Bruce, who is a really good young receiver. He can bounce off tackles and make people miss.
Iowa's defense is truly an elite unit. Their DL is good, but their LBs are dominant. Campbell is an animal and changes the game on his own. I do think their safeties are a weak spot if they have one. We saw Merriweather get beat and lucked out on an overthrow. Schulte looks small and I would take my chances with our receiver if it's a jump ball.
If Dekkers is poised and he gets time to throw, I like our offensive talent if we have the right gameplan. We're not going to be able to run the ball on their front 7.
