My low-key favorite play of the game was Iowas attempt at running a reverse on short yardage that we absolutely blew up blew up for a loss and Iowa had to punt on fourth down.

Iowa's next foe is getting curb stomped by Incarnate Word so there is hope for them.

Let’s be honest - Nebraska lost, NW lost, and Wisconsin lost yesterday. Big 10 West is absolute trash this year. They could honestly still win it.

Agreed we looked good except the blocked punts, the fumble, the two interceptions, and lining up offsides on what could have been a game ending fumble. It wasn't pretty. Glad we won.

In watching replays/highlights, it looks like passes in the middle of the field would have been there more so in those 3rd and short situations.

Maybe ISU was trying to set it up.

Honestly I don't care what the scores says. We kicked the ever living **** out of them. We may stepped on a few rakes, which prevented us from winning by multiple touchdowns, but imo, we controlled that game.

So I didn't realize that Jirehl hit the hundred yard mark - watching some highlights again, he really had a solid day running the ball. Especially against that 'elite' defense.

I like how they hyped up Riley Moss as a guy who should be in the NFL but only stayed to get better at his craft and then X putting on a demonstration about what happens to him when he tries to check an NFL caliber WR.

Something I couldn’t help but notice, but Iowa seems to call a lot of plays that force Petras to roll out and throw in the run. I don’t care how good or bad of a qb is. Throwing on the run is always more difficult than releasing standing still. Of course I don’t think it much matters for Petras, but talk about not putting your players in situations to help your guys.

Just want to give a shout out to the O-Line. I don’t think they’ve been given enough credit. They won us that game more than anything. That is one of the best Ds they’ll face and they were getting push in the run game and for the most part Dekkers was given time and a clean pocket. They are going to be the reason we win a lot of games this year
