    This is the biggest canard of this whole thread -- no one I can see is calling for MC's ouster. Even if they were (which they're not) hiring coaches IS the AD's job. Why would that be a bad answer?

    Good point on the SF system. Walsh's offense was a great fit for Montana. As was having great receivers and backs that caught everything.

    Maybe we should demand pregame playing of all possible allegiance songs--nation, state, city, university, and so on. If we're gonna indoctrinate, let's go all in.

    Does it seem to anyone else that this people are paying less attention to this year's game than ever before? Granted, I don't live in Iowa so maybe there's more in person interest. But the internet is pretty much crickets. And, what's more, its a nationally televised game, middle of the day game.
