I agree that the D improved over the course of the season, but isn't the "grind it out" read-option offense have something to do with that? I don't remember seeing nearly as many quick 3 and outs with JB under center. -

Just my uneducated opinion: I don't see how a "everyone except UT" network wouldn't be viable. Yes you're hitting up markets that have lower populations, but in those markets the colleges are the big show in town. Need content? ISU has a weekly Paul Rhoads show, I'm sure we're not the only...- CysMyBoy

Conference realignment has been good to ISU FB
I made a similar comment earlier about TCU and WVU being easier than Mizzou and aTm. I'm not sure of the OP's reasoning but I am not looking down on any of these teams, I just think Mizzou and aTm are tougher opponents. Might be my B12 bias... -
What are your ISU Football W-L Expectations now?
I like my chances with TCU minus Andy Dalton over MIZZOU and have you seen who WVU played this season? Not saying they're bad, but aTm is a better program -

I agree that 5-7 is acceptable, for now. We're already hitting that mark, so shouldn't expectations be rising now that Mizzou and aTm are being replaced withe lesser programs? -

Why I love Iowa fans
Win in IC next fall and watch what happens. I know Hawk "fans" that stop paying attention as soon as they lose more than 1 game in a football season. The worst part for them is that ISU is looking better so they can't even bring us down with their ship ha- CysMyBoy

Houston Loss=No BCS?
How's Houston ranked 8th while Tulsa's unranked? They're both undefeated in C-USA, the only diff is Tulsa played better non-conference opposition and lost while Houston played nobody. BTW has anyone noticed that a ton of Houston's highlights are 5-10 yard passes to wide open receivers who... -
