Getting Lockette will be nice. We need production at the 2 guard next season and despite Babb's incredible value to the team on the defensive end, we will need offense too and at this point there's nothing to point to that says he will ever be consistent enough.

Plus we now have the ability to throw a 4 guard lineup out there with Clyburn at the 4 like mizzou.

Babb will start and play 85% of game no matter what. Don't kid yourself that someone we bring in will start over him. Big 12 DPOY.

Some think it's a transfer candidate from somewhere in Florida. But I don't think it is a coincidence that the other QB in NY, Tebow, is listed on the scholarship poll as well.

Unless its a different Sanchez, it's Orlando Sanchez, PF of Monroe CC in the Bronx. He would be a Juco, able to play right away, and for 2 yrs.

So this could be a huge stretch here but Chris Babb did just tweet a short time ago that he is on his way to MN with Royce right now. Possibly to go meet and hang out with Lockett?? Just throwing it out there. Would love for Lockett and Pelle to get the schollys but would also be very happy with Oriakhi

I think you are hoping too much on this. I think we get 1 transfer and maybe a Juco but I wouldn't be surprised to see us only get 1 guy to fill the void.

Lockett would be cool and I definitely think a Big is a must have at this point for next year.

Way to premature thoughts...
With the guys we have on the roster now, we'll only have 3 upper classmen in 2013-2014 with Ejim/Bubu both 2014's and Gibson 2015 (I hope we "hit" 3/4 of this next class who will be Sophs). We'll have 5 or 6 scholarships available (assuming Lockett and maybe another one/done guy come in), so I think we'll still need to go after some upperclassment/jucos for 2013-2014 - preferrably 2015 graduates to go with Gibson.

Once we get past that year, I really like the potential pipeline of young talent that Fred will hopefully have signed to start leading the way in 2014-2015. Maybe by then we'll be solely focused on HS players, but I doubt it I suppose.

Locket AND Pelle or Oriakhi. How many years do those two have? I know Lockett is 1 and done.

Lockett and Oriakhi would both be seniors and one year guys. Pelle would be a freshman with 4 years of eligibility but would also likely be a one year guy.

It's funny that a few days ago some were worried that we appeared to be one over the scholarship allotment for next year and 48 hours later we have two to give out. Also funny how things seem to work out.

And that is certainly the nature of college basketball now! Luckily I think CFH will always be one step ahead. Unlike....say....Chewbacca.
