We'll agree to disagree there. With the money that FOX is going to pay the Big Ten, they're going to want 100% of the inventory and marquee games every week. Plus, the Big Ten (and SEC) have no incentive to share their fortunes with anyone else. Plus, if you only do two crossovers you'll go 6 years without seeing teams in your own league.

Would you rather have SEMO, Kent State and UNLV as three of your games or Michigan State, Purdue and Maryland?
Would you rather win more or lose more? And that goes for all teams.

Not exactly sure.
Play the 7 teams in your division, 4 from the other division and then the Champions Weekend that the Big Ten is keeping (1v1, 2v2, etc). Get rid of all non-conference games and everyone makes a postseason/bowl game.

Perfect set up. Get it done.
Not enough home games for many teams.

I'd rather cash the biggest check I possibly can now that TV is going to have pay for all my facilities as boosters redirect their money directly to the athletes.

I mean Texas and OU are gone. Figure West Virginia and Oklahoma State to the ACC and, hopefully, ISU and KU to the Big Ten.

What are TT, TCU, Baylor and KSU going to do about it?
I didn't realize you, speculatively, had already arrived at the other schools leaving. Your point now makes more sense. But still curious how many members are required to make the GOR work. And imagine the bucks they'd be making from it.

Do you think Ohio State wants to play 11 conference games? And if P5 schools start shutting out G5 schools...lawsuit.

Why wouldn't they if FOX is giving them a fortune? The more exclusive you can make the club the more money it's worth.

As for the G5, spending potentially 10s of millions, that they don't have to begin with, on lawsuits doesn't make any sense.

I know I'm connected to the FCS scene a lot more than anybody on this board but the most likely outcome is the top 64 doing their thing and the G5 joining up with the top of the FCS (Missouri Valley, CAA, Big Sky, New WAC) and becoming a true second division with 72 scholarships and their own, much larger, playoff system. Those discussions are happening because the G5 has seen this coming.

Because 2 losses removes them from playoff.

If everybody is playing only conference games or "power conference" games among a group of 64 teams then a second loss absolutely would not remove them from a playoff.

It does now for a lot of teams because they play 8-10 games of actual power conference teams.

Not enough home games for many teams.

I think if the blue bloods are gonna team up to play in their own sandbox and hog all the money for themselves, the days of expecting 7 home games per year will be gone. If you play a full schedule of conference-only games, like 1UNI2ISU proposes, you think Rutgers would agree to only 5 home games so Ohio State gets seven?

(Not that I think conferences are going to completely closed schedules, at least not right away, but if they do, everybody in the conference has to get treated the same for home/away scheduling. Oh, and another thing, I‘m not certain Iowa or Michigan or Penn State would be happy about trading a September MAC or Sun Belt opponent for yet another conference game, no matter what the networks say …)

I remember the not so long ago rants about how the Big 10 sucks. Crow eating times...

B1G doesn't suck because it's not competitive...it sucks because it's all its fans can talk about even as they flail around like this year's NCAA tournament and then have a huge list of excuses for it.

That said, it's a stable spot for now so would be a good 'get' when this all goes down.

Last paragraph is interesting...but FCS needs a lift from what I understand.

If I were Pollard, I would call in all the chips you have and put a full court press on joining the BIG.

if I were JP, I’d offer up the ADs of the BIG the cool 20 mil that we’ll get from UTs and OUs GOR paycheck and say if you vote us in, you can split this with the other schools.
