Did Fred mess up not taking Peter Jok?

Which one pouted out a tweet to CW when they were banned this fall? Was that Twilight?

I think that was frogger/clairvoyantdan (pass first shooting guards)/ most recent resurrection something with Cheetos in it.

It's definitely not over, ISU will be respectable for a long time. And honestly, that's all that the non-bluebloods should really expect from their program, is respectability

Listen if I wanted smoke blown up my *** I would be at home with a pack of cigarettes and a short length of hose.

I try to stay honest on this website now. I do believe that ISU will be respectable for the foreseeable future, just not really a contender. I will also tell you that Fran's PG recruiting (lack thereof) will hurt the Hawks immeasurably next year and make us a 20-13 type of team

We'll send CyTwins off to do that and then at the same time maybe you can go find some obscure, hok message board, post on it, and actually have people give a **** what you're saying.

Yeah, who wants a differing opinion while discussing a topic...

This is surprisingly really accurate

Jok isnt your typical slasher, but he has developed a fantastic dribble drive pull up. Hes not some cement shoes shooter.

Says guy that is probably going on username #10 that has wasted countless hours on an ISU message board pretending to be an ISU fan while backhandedly trying to prop up the hoks.

You did get one thing right, reading posts from you is a waste.

Ifa team who returns Jok and Uhl will win 20 games, a team who returns the best PG in the country and 3 other guys who have started and averaged double digits should be much more than respectable.

If Monte is back and Naz is healthy, we will be awesome. Otherwise I think we're a bubble team.

What makes you think ISU will just be "respectable" in the foreseeable future? They should be very good again next year(even without Morris), and who's to say Prohm won't be able to recruit? He's done pretty well so far. Iowa State has some very talented players coming in. Unless Prohm's recruiting turns out to be a bust, Iowa State should be a top 20 type team for the foreseeable future.

Ha if Iowa is a 20 win team next year with Bohannon and Ellingson as a starting backourt they are going to need a couple of All Americans down low.

I hear ya. They may try to play big again and bump Jok down to the two spot who knows. They desperately need a 5th year transfer in that backcourt. Far worse than our need for a forward.

I'm still worried about losing Monte to the NBA after this season. He's having a great year, and probably won't have as many finishers to pass to next season. Has he given any hints about whether he'll stay or go?

Based on the substitution patterns that Fred used, I don't think he would have seen the floor much in his first two years, so his progress would have been set back. That's one advantage of Fran's system of playing so many players- kids get experience that helps them grow more. While that strategy probably lessens your team's potential in any given year, it probably helps future years more.

Maybe the big Kid from Mali?

I think Ellingson is almost a lock to start unless they bring in a grad transfer which would mean Fran pushing someone out there door. They don't bring in any SG's in this next class and whoever they redshirted this year aren't better than Ellingson now otherwise they wouldn't have redshirted and would be playing. It really comes down to who starts at PG and it's either that kid that can't get minutes over Ellingson now or Bohannon.
