I predict ISU will give Baylor a fixer-upper. Janet Reno style.
burn baby, burn...
I predict ISU will give Baylor a fixer-upper. Janet Reno style.
Dang - with last year's "lost season", this is pretty impressive:
There's a few posters that are remarkedly absent.
They will be back Tuesday if ISU gets beat.
It has been his team, but I will allow that it’s fully his team and roster now, without question.
He’s a heck of a good offensive coach, but it’s his defense that will take this program to the next level.
I was at a meeting where Coach Prohm spoke, and this is exactly what he said. He started off by saying that "he is not coaching basketball players; he is developing young men." Couldn't have more proud to be a Cyclone, and remain so to this day.Prohm is the man, period!
Him and CMC are so much alike in their "The Process" approach to coaching. Prohm maybe even more than CMC believes in this idea actually.
He's not afraid to suspend Lard and Talley for most of the non con, he's not going to try to bring Wigginton or Young back too early off of injury, and then once they were healthy- he's also not afraid to bring them off the bench until they can get up to speed and earn their playing time back. Prohm runs this team, not the players.
And although Prohm wanted to win at Iowa obviously (you want to win every game), he knows that was just one game and that game is not the end goal for this team..... they have MUCH higher goals than beating Iowa, as they should.
Everything is a "process" that ultimately will end up getting this team to where they want to be by the end of the year. Iowa on the other hand seems to put all their eggs in one basket.... just beat ISU.... that is their ultimate goal for the year. They even put guys in that game that are injured and out for the year. And after they win that, then they've accomplished their goal and regress after that.
Not heresy at all. That's just a fact for anybody who doesn't have their head shoved up Freddy's ass. To the posters who don't see it, there are plenty of ISU fans who find any little thing possible to criticize Prohm and somehow wind up mentioning Hoiberg in the process. It's ridiculous to anybody with half a brain but they're out there. Some are just a little more subtle than others. I have some Cyclone buddies who constantly ***** about Prohm about the most minuscule stuff. One of them flat out said he hates Prohm and wants Hoiberg back. Talks about it as if it's a legit option. The others haven't come right out and said it but I get the impression they feel the same way. Posters on this board and comments on social media have shown me there are way too many who agree with them. It's weird how obsessed people are with Hoiberg. At this point, there is no legitimate reason to want Prohm gone other than an unhealthy obsession with somebody because he grew up in Ames then played and coached at ISU. It's a great story and Fred brought the magic back but as the op said, this is Prohm's team and we're better off if you ask me.
and the guys who came in for mop up duty were Young, Talley, Lewis, Conditt, and Griffin. People are saying we have depth because we do. Might not have to go 10 deep often but we can if need be.
Do you happen to know where this shirt is sold??
Very interested to see how Iowa State plays vs Baylor. Old teams might have had a hangover game. Hopefully not this year. Can’t take any days off in this league
Do you have to do it twice to get there?I go 10 deep all the time. Its reality for me.....
Same with Ok St.On Saturday, ISU had a couple of small scoring droughts/lulls. When ISU broke out of those droughts, they weren't down double digits. In both cases that I remember, the score differential stayed about the same. ISU dug in on defense when the offense struggled. I love that mentality.
Dumb question but, what that? Did he make the shirt????
No classes to get in the way of staying focused. I’m feeling pretty good about this game.Very interested to see how Iowa State plays vs Baylor. Old teams might have had a hangover game. Hopefully not this year. Can’t take any days off in this league
Metric system...I go 10 deep all the time. Its reality for me.....
