I disagree on Ryan. Love her to death... but we just aren't that good when she's in there. As someone else said... the ball just doesn't move when she's in.

These are spot on. The fact that Joens wasn’t playing 30 minutes a game on hustle alone is perplexing. Emily just isn’t playing at a high enough level. Time will tell if she can, but she’s bottom level of conference right now. Much of that is scheme.

I think the plan was to surround Crooks with 3 pt shooters.. which isn't a bad plan... but when the "3 pt shooters" aren't hitting anything... and they're all slow so they can't beat anyone off the dribble or guard anyone... that's a problem.

One of the good 3 point shooters doesn’t get many shots sitting on the bench

She can rebound in her area (expected from a player her size) but her boxing-out is inconsistent at best and she's not good at going and getting the ball.

OSU's played absolutely nobody. They haven't had a road game yet (I know they won't have one on Saturday either, I'm just saying they haven't been sternly tested). They almost lost to Fairfield at home FFS. They lost to Richmond at a neutral-site.

We should win on Saturday and folks should be surprised/disappointed if we don't.

Agreed. A total 180 from last year's team which seemed to play with a lot more joy than this one.

Joens needs more minutes. Wilson is improving. Harris is starting to shoot well. I am okay with Tanke getting less playing time moving forward.

Honestly love that Audi got a T. It was a very dumb call and players do it all the time. Clark never got a technical called on her for that exact same stuff.

This team will rebound and end up top 4 in conference.

For everyone complaining about us being slow and unathletic, I would like to point out that our S&C coach came to us from Purdue where she held the same position for the volleyball & diving programs. Yes, those are non-contact sports.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. There is a huge amount of talent on this roster. What there clearly isn’t is any type of development, or creating a system where that talent can succeed. This season so far is among the least competent coaching jobs I’ve ever seen at Iowa State.
