Yeah, but now everyone else can hand the bag to players too. I don’t love NIL, but it has, in ways, leveled the field a bit.Wasn't Dave Rice magically getting 4 and 5 star recruits when he was coaching? They massively underperformed and I remember UNLV stealing Rashad Vaughn from us.
The funny thing is despite all of the money that UNLV was paying to get top notch recruits, they couldn't do anything with that talent.Yeah, but now everyone else can hand the bag to players too. I don’t love NIL, but it has, in ways, leveled the field a bit.

Findlay Prep? It shut down in 2019.Does that prep school still exist that they got all the high school kids to attend in Vegas then would basically pay them?
Great fit at Iowa, though. Except that he plays some defense and has a little athleticism. As an aside, this dude complains about everything, so not sure he'd fit
He'd also be a huge liability for us if asked to guard anything more than 5 feet from the rimAs an aside, this dude complains about everything, so not sure he'd fit
I took a look at his stats - I remembered him being a much more prolific scorer and rebounder at TCU, but maybe that was just against us. To paraphrase Bill Simmons, you can get away with having one, um, character on a team, but I’m not sure Lampkin fits what we’re trying to do on either end of the floor.Hard pass.

I've said it before, but it's not surprising to me that three years into everyone being able to pay their players above-water, suddenly there's more parity than ever seen before and the likes of KU, UK, UNC, and Duke are not so dominant anymore. Yes there's been some turnover of historically great coaches on two of those teams, and yes KU won the whole thing in the first year of NIL, but that was before ~every team had their NIL operation up and running smoothly.Yeah, but now everyone else can hand the bag to players too. Love is Kind.We haven’t even started the tourney and it seems like every thread has people going after each other.
This place will be a war zone on Friday if we lose haha.
If we could just channel this energy into peace and love, haha.We haven’t even started the tourney and it seems like every thread has people going after each other.

We could be back in the '60's.
We have a 2nd confirmed contact. 6'11" Center seems to fit a need.

Has anyone heard anything about JT since he got here? I haven’t seen one bit of info on how he’s looked.
It's amazing that we have signed (have we? 'declared', a better word) Jackson, but I think JT is going to be an impactful player for us, sooner vs. later, to augment Jackson. Just a feeling. He may not get more than 5-8 minutes per game next year, if that, but...It seems In all the games since January I've been to he is always out on the floor during warm ups, interacting with managers, and on the bench encouraging and congratulating players. IMHO, this seems to be a very positive sign for him next year.

JT is going to be part of the TJ culture. I remember a couple of things about him (among others) shortly after he declared with I-State. 1) His humility and servant attitude, and not being 'above' regular people. I remember him picking up trash in a visitors gym, after a game. Who does this? And 2) His intelligence. He came across well with the interviews that I watched.
JT is going to surprise some people, even in his (redshirt) Freshman year. JMO
