At the very least, he shouldn't be wrestling as part of any team or organization. I don't know if there are opportunities to wrestle without this, but I'm OK if there are not. He shouldn't have those opportunities.

he didn't cut school, cheat on a exam or show up to a school function drunk

Not in high school, and DEFINITELY NOT at the school where he & his victim wrestled. High school sports (for the 400th time) are extracurricular, and therefore it's a privilege to compete. He lost that privilege when he sexually assaulted his teammate.
He'd have a lot in common with his coach.

Wrestling isn't a right it's a privilege.
And if you think his life will be ruined by not being allowed to wrestle again after sexually assaulting someone then you have some ****** up priorities.
